Just as with the Republic, the Municipality is made up of Natural & Built Spaces.  At National level outstanding natural sites, ecoystems, landscapes recognised for their rarity, importance and services are given protection status. In both global & National agendas, the place of the Municipality as a microcosm of the state continues to emerge as greater freedoms and liberties in development are achieved.
